Tyk AI Studio lets administrators white-label the admin UI and the AI Portal. You can replace the logo and favicon, set brand colors, change the application title, and add custom CSS. Changes apply system-wide, to every user.

Customizable Elements

  • Logo: the header logo. Upload a PNG, JPG, or SVG file up to 2MB.
  • Favicon: the browser tab icon. Upload an ICO or PNG file up to 100KB.
  • Colors: the primary, secondary, and background colors. Use hex color codes, such as #23E2C2.
  • Application Title: the title shown in the browser tab. Use up to 50 characters.
  • Custom CSS: CSS rules that override the default styles.
Tyk AI Studio stores settings such as colors, the application title, and custom CSS in its database. Changes apply to all users after a page refresh.

Configure Branding (Admin)

Only administrators can change branding settings.
  1. Log in to the admin UI as an administrator.
  2. Go to Governance > Branding.
  3. Update the settings you need:
    • Upload a logo or favicon.
    • Set the primary, secondary, or background color.
    • Edit the application title.
    • Expand Custom CSS (Advanced).
    • Add custom CSS rules.
  4. Click Save Changes.
  5. Refresh the page to see the changes.
To restore the default Tyk branding, click Reset to Defaults. This also deletes any uploaded logo and favicon files.
Custom CSS gives you full control over the application’s appearance. Test your changes carefully before you save them. Bad CSS can break the layout or hide controls. Only use CSS from a source you trust. A CSS rule can load external resources using url() or @import. A malicious rule can use this to leak page data to an external server.

Asset Storage

Tyk AI Studio stores uploaded logo and favicon files on the file system, not in the database. By default, it saves these files to ./data/branding. Use the BRANDING_STORAGE_PATH environment variable to change this location: ENV: BRANDING_STORAGE_PATH
Type: string
Default: ./data/branding
The directory where Tyk AI Studio stores branding assets, such as the logo and favicon. In containerized deployments, mount a persistent volume at this path. This keeps your branding assets after a container restart. For example:
